Arrived back in the middle of Thursday night. For the last three and half hours of the journey from New Jersey to Oklahoma I was looking forward to the heat of Oklahoma. The plane was very small, freezing cold and with no blankets.
There is no immigration control at OK so Bruce met me off the plane and I was glad of his assistance getting my heavy luggage off the baggage reclaim.
It has been good seeing Tim and family and Pat. Precious grand daughters are an absolute joy and delight to be around and I have so enjoyed watching them in all their activities, having a good summer.
The weather here has been brutal, well over a 100 for the past weeks. Keen gardeners, like Sharon, have seen all their hard work of the past few years lost and shrivelled up in the heat. A lot of people who still try to maintain green, weed free lawns are also finding it more and more of an uphill task, I think they should go over to hard landscaping, like many are doing in Britain, and conserve the water.
The last few days I have been feeling very, very tired. I haven't done a lot, I went to see the latest Harry Potter with Sharon and Pattisue on Friday. Later today, Sunday, I am going to lunch with Bruce and Rosalyn.
