After Kiwanis yesterday morning I headed off and collected my i-Pad which was all ready and waiting for me. Having a bit of a problem though connecting it to my wi-fi, but if I can't sort it out I know now where the experts are.
I went to my cell phone provider to enquire about a Sim card, which will be $30 a month. It might be a good idea if I am travelling, but I don't think I need it at the moment. When I travel down to the monastery at Beaumont I keep ringing Michael up on my tiny, basic cell phone to tell him where I am, and I am sure he would prefer text messages.
Someone said last week - before we had a spell of cool weather - that it was the last hot day. She was lying. The hot days have come back. When I first came here, and long hot summers with blue skies and sunshine were a novelty, I couldn't understand people who were longing for cooler autumn weather. Now I know where they were coming from. I'm pining for cool and damp and cloudy, like it is at home. It was like that last weekend, just to make Jeremy feel at home, but it didn't last.
In the Election cycle we have just had the Conventions. Now they are gearing up for the DEBATES and all the pundits are excitedly wondering who is going to say what and who will be best.
I have forgotten what used to be on television before the Election, this campaigning has been going on for the last two years. How do we manage to do it in three weeks????????
