Yesterday, Sunday, was a beautiful warm, sunny day. There were prayers for rain though as we need it to fill the reservoirs and some came down today, there was a thunderstorm which sent Bubbles running around in a panic, like a headless chicken. She heard me sliding the closet door open for her (her storm/tornado shelter, and she dived into it).
The thunderstorm reminded me we are approaching the spring tornado season, sigh. It is somehow worse waiting for it, when it comes I will be psyched up and prepared for it.
Yesterday, Sunday, I went to Emmanuel in the morning, and to University Baptist in the evening. They had a very, very good speaker, he had taught at OBU for many years and retired at the same time as Pattisue.
Afterwards, as Pattisue was feeling a bit better, I suggested we eat at the China Buffet and she was up for it, but found she couldn't eat much when we got there, she said she'd missed her appetite medication that morning. Lately we have been going to a restaurant rather than a buffet so that what she doesn't eat she can take to go.
It is a holiday today, President's Day, I think it is Washington's birthday, renamed President's Day. It is just a bank holiday though, not one of those big deals where everyone is celebrating. I went out for a bit of shopping and spent the rest of the day tidying and sorting.
