The weather is about to close in on us again so I was running round Shawnee, doing my errands before I become housebound again. I stopped at the hospital to see how Larry and the chaplaincy had been faring. He was able to get out to emergencies at the hospital with his four wheel drive vehicle. There was one volunteer chaplain there who was visiting on one floor; the other chaplain who usually works with him had to go to California because her daughter was killed in a road accident. There is just so much sadness in the world, and I seem to see a lot of it. Anyway, I went round the other floor she would have done.
When we get forecasts of bad weather the supermarkets are busier than they are at holidays. I made a fruitless trip to Walmart for some fresh goats milk.
I've become quite a bookworm lately. I think I've read more books here than the rest of my life put together. I'm also feeling a bit crocheted out. I know Bubbles is hacked off at me having a big bundle of wool and afghan in front of me she's not allowed to interfere with. She's taken to curling up on a dining chair. With the tablecloth overhanging, it's like a little tent, I think she's made it her bedroom. Somewhere quiet to get away from Fox News.
