SUNDAY

It has been a lovely warm day, temperatures up in the 70s.  We've gone from the depths of winter, with snow and ice, to summer in less than a week.   The snow has begun melting.

Woke up extremely early and went to the 8 o'clock at Emmanuel then the adult Sunday school.   I caught up a bit from my early start before going to Rosalyn and Barbara's Nutrition Class in the afternoon.

Afterwards I went on to a fund raising dinner given by the young people at University Baptist.  They have several fund raising events during the year to take a party of special needs children to a summer camp, which is lovely for the children, they are able to take part in all sorts of activities they normally wouldn't, and obviously is very good for the young people in the church who make it possible.

Instead of an evening service there was a concert afterwards in the church.

Last night, Saturday, I invited Mark and Mary out to dinner at the Cracker Barrel.  I haven't seen them both together for a while and it was good to catch up with them.   On the way home I introduced them to the new downtown coffee shop, we stopped by for coffees.

These two cats were sitting side by side on the roof of the car but the camera shy ginger tabby jumped down when I took my camera out.  The one on the roof lives next door but is always hanging round my porch.  The other one, Otis, was living in a house in the neighbourhood but when the owners moved they left him behind so he is fed by the neighbourhood.  Goodness knows where he sleeps.
