There's still a lot of snow laying about but most people are out and about. I went to the hospital to do my chaplaincy round and had lunch first with Pattisue, we chat a lot. She's very active in the local Democrats and like all Democrats never watches Fox News, so I fill her in on all the politics she misses by not looking at it, like Donald Trump considering to run for President. I told her one of the first things he would do is charge a 25% tax on everything coming in from China, which I thought was a good idea, it would help get Americans - and Britons too if we implemented the idea as well - back to work. Donald Trump has a bee in his bonnet about it because he builds real estate, hotels and things, and he is forced to buy a lot of what he needs, glass etc. from China. I suppose if you are spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on imports from China you would wonder why Americans couldn't be put to work producing it.
I was glad I'd backed my car in, and was near the kerb, I had no problem going out this morning. There's mountains of snow piled up, I just wonder when it will all melt. The temperatures are forecast to be in the 70s next week, so maybe that will see it off.
