I can't seem to get into a regular sleep pattern. I wake up in the middle of the night then I'm napping during the day. Anyway, last night I was wide awake at about 4 o'clock and I filled out online a registration form for a Conference on the mental, physical and spiritual aspects of aging.
It was suggested to me by someone who had come to the monastery for Christmas dinner, and Michael and Peter are going to be there as well. It is in Texas, about an hour north of Houston, and looks a lovely place. I rang Janie and am going to stop off there on the way back, they are north of Dallas, not very far from the OK/TX state line. I don't think I can run to another rental car, I will probably take my own.
This is the programme. As you can see it is at the end of February.
The Octogenarians Guide to Pop Culture should be interesting. I am always seeing young pop stars on talk shows and the like, and they are obviously very famous, but I have never heard of them.
I think the hospital has been the only thing I have done today. I was there longer than usual. Pattisue was there for several hours having a blood transfusion. I went out and got her a Pink Swirl. As well as the usual visiting round two floors I was also called to a patient's relative who was very distressed. I am the only chaplain there on a Friday, it is Larry's day off and Kevin is just on call.
