Wednesday

I know I am a day behind, I am not doing very well at keeping up am I.

Pattisue was going to have chemo today, but instead she needs 3 units of blood.  They couldn't organise it though for today so she is going on Friday.

I went round one floor, there is a new volunteer who comes in on Wednesdays and does the other one.   Then I had lunch with Pattisue in the hospital cafeteria.

It has really been all go today.  After the hospital I had another appointment with Leanna, the physical therapist, to sort out my aches and pains, and I think I do feel a bit better for it.

I also had a detox, which involves putting my feet in a bowl of water with a device that sends mini currents through my body, and all the toxins come out through the sweat glands in my feet.

This is a picture of all my toxins before she took the bowl away.  I thought you'd like to see that.  That started out as clear water.
After my therapy and detox it was a bit of a rush to get home and out again for the Wednesday meal at Emmanuel.   I was doing the dessert and fortunately whipped it up before I went out in the morning.

And this was it.
Doesn't that look simple?  Just take the top off the jar of Nutella, make sure you have all the tinfoil off round the edge, and put it in the microwave for 30 seconds, then beat it into the Cool Whip, which is some kind of ersatz cream.   C'est une doddle.  And it was very nice.

Fr Gary's wife is visiting from Alabama, I think they are going to have a little holiday.   I sat with them at supper, she wanted to talk to me about the English murder mysteries she loves reading.  It's a favourite topic of conversation with Americans, I don't think I ever met anyone in England who read them.  Or perhaps they did, but just didn't need me to translate them.  In this case I was asked what picking hops was all about.

These speciality licence plates seem to be mushrooming all over the place.  This is an American Quarter Horse which I thought was more common in Texas, but it is definitely an Oklahoma plate.  Not that I am, by any means, an expert in the different breeds of horses round here, but that was just something I picked up.
