THURSDAY 15th March

This was the group which entertained us at our Kiwani group this morning and it was very enjoyable. They have played for us before, the guy on the guitar is the local newspaper editor. There is a lot of live music here and it surprises me that there is so much talent in this small American town.

The Lenten lunch was at one of the Methodist churches.  I think there are three; a big mega size one, a medium size - where we had lunch - and the small one Carla pastors that I go to sometimes.  I think there is also an African American one.
I don't think I have been in this church before.  They had some lovely stained glass.  I am not sure if someone has just dropped off their shopping bags, or there is some deep significance to these items in the sanctuary.

This afternoon I put my feet up for a little while then went to listen to the poets at the Benedict Street deli this evening.  I joined Sharon and Cathy and two members from Emmanuel for a meal before the readings. Sharon's son, Joe also joined us and he was reading.

A licence plate.
