TUESDAY 20th March

It was still raining heavily when I woke up but eventually dried up, and brightened up, it was quite sunny this afternoon.
This is the front page of today's local paper.
I had to go to the cable company to pay my tv/phone and internet bill, and as I was a day late paying it I explained that I'd intended to go yesterday but couldn't get out because of the rain.  The eavesdropper behind me thought I was complaining about the rain and bit my head off.   Actually I only mentioned it because I hoped the cable company wouldn't charge me the $5 penalty for being late.  Which they didn't.  But some people should mind their own business.

I thought this was an interesting article on the front page of The Oklahoman.  About 20 volunteers in the Oklahoma Metro area give up their weekends to collect, sort and deliver pet food to about 65 seniors who have a hard time feeding themselves and often go without to feed their pets.   They also help the homeless feed their pets too, who often have a dog with them, which is good. The dog's companionship must be even more important to the homeless.

I was at the Senior Centre this afternoon.  Perhaps I will be back in cooking mode tomorrow but after a hard afternoon answering the phone I went along to the Golden Corral for a takeout.
