FRIDAY 21 October

Pattisue was having her chemo today so I went to the hospital early instead of the YMCA.   She was attached to her drip, happy and smiling like she always is, and I sat and visited with her for a while.  I found out what was on the menu for lunch, then Kevin got it for her while I did my chaplaincy round.

One patient I visited had a fall and cracked his pelvis, picking up an ice cube.   His wife was there as well and was very upset that it was all for the sake of an ice cube.  I made a mental note that if I drop any ice cubes they can melt into the carpet.

I did go to the YMCA this evening for my water walking exercise.  The water walking is from 7.45 to 8.30 and I had the pool entirely to myself.  The lifeguard looked very surly at having to come out of his cosy office to sit and watch me. As it got near 8.30 he was standing nearer and nearer to the edge of the pool, he wasn't going to let me stay in a minute past 8.30.

I was getting into my car in the bank's parking lot, and noticed this car next to me.  I know they don't believe in writing off cars like we do, they try to repair them, but golly me!!!
