I was at the YMCA by 7, exercising in the water resistance walkway and doggy paddling in the children's pool. Perhaps in a couple of weeks I will be able to do a length in the main pool. I am beginning to appreciate the advantages in waking up at 4am.
The patient numbers are still down at the hospital so it did not take me long to go round, but all the computers in the hospital have changed to a different data entry system which we have got to get our heads round.
Yesterday at the bake sale I bought some of Pauline's chocolate brownies which are very good, and took them for the dessert at the Wednesday meal. Just before the meal Fr Gary held a service of blessing for the church members animals, honouring St Francis of Assisi.
Sharon asked if I was going to take Bubbles, but Bubbles hates people, I am the only human she trusts, she would not appreciate being bundled into a carrier and blessed.
There was one cat there, who wasn't even in a carrier, she was carried in her owner's arms.
I am going to take the above two photos to a photo lab. I think Sue Ellen, the cat owner, would like them.
Most of the animals there were dogs.
Tim Sean, the youth minister, is the guitarist. His wife Karen is on the left, with dark hair. Tim met her when I gave her a lift to Oxford.
I didn't know this, but it was Francis of Assisi who introduced a creche and animals into a nativity scene.
