MONDAY

I don't know when I turned from being an owl into a lark, but I am a lark at the moment, awake between 4 and 5.  I have quite a bit to do on the computer at the moment.  I'm scrabbling about in the nether regions of the computer for photos of Sussex.  Louise has set the date for my 'presentation' for the 10th November, and as Tim Sean has kindly offered to do the Power Point bit for me I want to let him have the pictures as soon as possible.

Added to that - in the Adult Interest Group at Emmanuel on Wednesday night we are playing.  Making collages.  Alma is bringing lots of materials so we don't have to take anything but I conceived the idea of making a collage of photos of Larry, so I have been delving into the computer for those as well.

I haven't neglected my exercise though.  I got to the YMCA at 8, and although it was later than usual I had the pool practically to myself at first, there was just one other person there water resistance walking, then another two or three came in. So the early morning is definitely the best time to go.

In the afternoon I visited a friend, Faye.  She used to go to the gospel singing and her son is a member of Kiwanis.  I mentioned to him on Thursday that I hadn't seen her lately and he said she has not been well and told me where she lived, so I called on her.  She seemed very pleased to see me and it was an enjoyable visit.

I realised again what a small town Shawnee is.  There are quite a few people that we both know.  She knows Sharon and Larry Sparks, the chaplain. Her daughter was at school with Larry's daughter and they are good friends.  Faye's daughter in law dropped in while I was there, and she knows quite a few friends at Emmanuel as she and her husband are keen cyclists, and there is quite a strong cycling contingent at Emmanuel.

So that has been my day - exercising, working on the computer, and visiting.  I did look at a bit of news too.
