There's a new casino in town.  There is already a huge Las Vegas kind of deal further along the road, which belongs to the Citizen Pottawatomie Nation.  I saw that behind this casino there is a clinic belonging to the Absentee Shawnee Tribe, so I assume this casino does too.   It was a lovely evening and I was going to take more pictures but the battery ran out after this one.

The weather is lovely at the moment.  Hot, but not searing hot, in the 80s.  I had the air conditioning back on for a while.

I didn't go to Emmanuel this morning.  Kevin, Larry's assistant, was an assistant pastor at a downtown Pentecostal church and has left to start a new church in an old bingo hall (with all the smart casinos here there is no place for a bingo hall).  The idea of this church is that they have services on a Sunday, and eventually Bible studies on a Wednesday evening like other churches, but their mission is outreach, going out preaching the Gospel.  At the end of the month, near Halloween, they are going to have a table in the Mall with candies for children (they can't hand out tracts but they can talk) and there is also something going on outdoors downtown, round Halloween, and they are going to be part of that.
They haven't been able to put up a church sign yet, and I've forgotten what Kevin said they were going to call it.
I was late getting there for 11 o'clock.  Kevin misdirected me.  They just can't cope with left and right here, everything is east or west.  And I get exasperated when told to go east or west, I say tetchily, "is that left or right".
