I was in and around the hospital a lot of the day. Pattisue went in quite early for a blood transfusion and I spent some time visiting her before going round the floor and having lunch.
I saw her again before going home. I'd intended going to the YMCA in the evening but called her cell phone just before I was going to leave, and was somewhat surprised that at 7 o'clock she was still there, waiting to be unhooked from her IV port. I got in the car and drove to the hospital thinking "even our NHS isn't THIS bad". I think she was in much longer than she needed to be because they put her in a room on the maternity floor where the nurses aren't used to IV ports and veins, and nurses from other parts of the hospital were having to come to see to her.
She hadn't had supper so I suggested we go out somewhere to eat which she was pleased to do. And my hopping around, telling the nurses that the restaurant we were going to closes at 9 o'clock got them moving.
We went to the Asian diner, she seems to prefer Chinese food and in a restaurant, rather than a buffet, she can take home what she doesn't eat. And in fact I always take home what I don't eat, they give us so much.
Terry replaced my windscreen wipers. There is a problem with my front bumper though, he'd put a new indicator light in the other day, but it is still rather loose. He said someone must have backed into it in a parking lot. I really need a new bumper but he is going to look at it next week when he can get it up on a ramp, and see if he can 'fix' it somehow. Bless him. I never thought I find another garage as good as the guys at Seaford who looked after me, but I feel blessed that I have.
And still on the subject of my car I have never been able to attach the GPS to the windscreen, I think it must have something to do with the sharp angle of it, I didn't have a problem in the rented cars in England. Then I saw something advertised where the GPS can be fixed to a mount in the cup holder. And Voila!
