MONDAY

It was an unusual sort of morning.  I was back again at OBU, I am almost beginning to find my way around their campus, with directions from Pattisue who worked there.

This morning there was a presentation/lecture by an author who has just written a book on American Presidents and their Favourite Hymns, it was very interesting.  Rosalyn and Bruce came too and invited me to lunch afterwards.   I wished it was longer, and we had more musical excerpts, it was only an hour, and the room was wanted for another lecture so we couldn't run over.  I'd have liked the book but it was a bit pricey, more than I usually pay for books.

Our friend Sandra also joined us for lunch, she was at the lecture too, and we went to the Korean restaurant, which is very nice and caters well for Rosalyn's new vegan diet.  The management are becoming old friends.

Bruce and Rosalyn have just come back from ten days in California, learning to be vegans, and Rosalyn is off again on Wednesday to Utah, where she is taking an advanced Brain Gym class, which she has to do every four years to be able to teach brain gym.   She has explained what brain gym is to me, and I have even googled it, but I am still not sure - I just know I can't do it.

After her brain gym she is visiting an old friend in Salt Lake City, so will be away 8 days.   Sandra is filling in for her, playing the organ at Emmanuel.

All my friends are coming and going at the moment.  Sharon left on Sunday for New England with her friend, and is staying with her friend's daughter and son in law in Virginia, but unlike Rosalyn who flies everywhere, they are driving.

Bruce and Rosalyn are going to be off again next month for Thanksgiving at San Antonio in Texas, with one of Bruce's nieces.

I'm going away myself for Thanksgiving.  I was talking to Janie this evening who invited me.   I fleetingly wondered how much it would cost to fly, but I don't want to give David and Janie the hassle of meeting me, and seeing me off, at the airport.  I'll hire a car and drive, it's only four hours (theoretically).
